What does God purpose to accomplish in Mongolia?
Our Leadership team came to realize the importance of discovering God’s main stream of work in Mongolia and making sure we are prepared to join Him. We truly believe the purpose of GSM is to encourage and equip Mongolian Christian young professionals to have the heart to serve their community and share what they were freely given. In other words, the Leadership team and GSM aim to be an open invitation for young Mongolians to seek and join God’s greater plan.

This December, our Leadership team of young professionals went on a short mission trip to Baganuur, a rural town located 4 hours from the capital. The local church, who we have known for a long time, always has great number of youths and teenagers. However, when they graduate high school, most of them move to Ulaanbaatar to enroll in universities. The local pastor emphasized to us the necessity of giving them a solid foundation that can not easily be taken away during their major life changes. With the help of our 15 supporters, GSM organized 2 sessions for youths from all the churches in Baganuur to discuss highly relevant topics that seem to not be discussed in churches.

- Keeping one’s faith through our university years
- Becoming godly men & women
- Boundaries in relationship and dating that will lead to a godly marriage
At the end of this trip, we were not only encouraged from the participants being fully engaged, but also by what we learned from each other. We were further encouraged by invitations received from other local churches to train their youths.
1,000 Kids Christmas Celebration
One of our local partner organizations, Bright Start, a ministry with a vision for children, organizes an annual 1000 Children Christmas Celebration. Given this year’s bad economy, they had a hard time selling tickets. Besides helping them organization the event, we were pleased to purchase 60 tickets and donate them to the Street Kids Ministry and the Disabled Children Association.

- Connecting Anna's Home to the local Christian Churches. GSM provided warm clothing and a Christmas celebration for 23 children at the orphanage. Due to the strict state regulation on orphanage centers, we were not allowed to share the Gospel at Anna's Home, despite the fact that their director is Christian. Yet, many accepted our invitation to attend a local church celebration of the birth and purpose of Christ Jesus.
- Connecting Disabled Children’s Association to local Christian Churches.
- Gospel Sharing & Christmas Celebration at the Disable Children’s Association. Parents of disabled children are really interested in attending local churches with their kids, but the major problem for them is transportation. Because most of these families are impoverished and because the city is fairly small, we have started praying for a Sunday shuttle bus service for families with disabled children so they can attend the biggest local church in Dornod. We see that this is a gap which we can easily fill with only $20 of support per week.
